Instantly Explode All Array Groups is a Dynamo script to quickly explode all groups created by the Array command in your Revit model. Even though the Array groups are handy for quickly changing the number of items people often forget about them after they finish creating the array. And these groups will increase the file size and makes everything (such as your views and schedules) slower to generate, especially if your array group contains many model or detail elements. The script doesn’t touch other groups except array groups.

The script will probably trigger a few Revit warning messages regarding ungrouping and you just need to accept them.

You can also ungroup Array groups manually but it may take a lot of time. Also you can have groups within groups (array groups can have nested arrays within), and that will take you longer to ungroup everything cleanly.

If you look for a way to reduce the model file size, it might not be enough to explode array groups because there are many different things in a model that need to be cleaned up to reduce the file size. For this purpose you can use the Revit add-in called RV DeepClean. This add-in was developed by RV Boost, the creator of this free Dynamo script.
