Parametric shipping container is a generic model Revit family, non-hosted, of the standard shipping containers. It is 8ft wide, 8ft 6in tall container, and with parametric length so you can create both 20ft and 40ft standard shipping containers. These two types of containers are the most commonly used containers in the world to transport ocean freight goods, but it can be used in architecture also (see Container Architecture: Jure Kotnik).
The shipping container family includes two nested families: the door family and the cladding (corrugated metal siding) family. There are several parameters: a length parameter that controls the length of the container (so you can make 20ft and 40ft containers); an angle parameter that controls the angle of the doors (at 0° the doors are closed and at 90° the doors are open); and an integer parameter to change the number of the siding instances (length divided by 1ft).
