Purge Unused Scope Boxes is a Dynamo script that allows you to quickly find and delete all unused scope boxes from your Revit model. It identifies those redundant scope boxes which sometimes are hard to find, especially in a big Revit project.

The script checks which scope boxes are still in use by any view, level, grid, or reference plane. Next, it collects all scope boxes in the model and exclude any box still in use. Dynamo can then instantly delete the unused scope boxes.

If you look for a way to reduce the model file size, it might not be enough to delete unused scope boxes because there are many different things in a model that need to be cleaned up to reduce the file size. For this purpose you can use the Revit add-in called RV DeepClean. This add-in was developed by RV Boost, the creator of this free Dynamo script.
