Analytical ON-OFF is a Dynamo script that allows you to turn on and off the analytical model elements for the model, thus making your model much lighter to manipulate.

This script is particularly beneficial if you are an architect and receive a structural model to work with. Manipulating a model where analytical elements are all turned off does increase your model size and also causes latency in every move you make. This script will help you turn on and off all analytical elements easily.

In order to download script, follow the download link above. Then right-click on “BIM1_AnalyticalON-OFF.dyn” – “Save link as…”.

Note:
Script was tested in Revit 2019 and 2020 (both French and English), as it is collecting elements from categories names, if there are changes in the naming within the API, you might have to adjust it accordingly.

Workflow:

  1. Pick the ON or OFF option and it will tick or untick all analytical model elements.

The script will report how many items were processed.
